If you like modern architecture (like I do) with steel, concrete and glass you can find many nice places in Zurich besides the “kitschy” Old Town areas.

My contribution to the ZFD40 competition part “This is Zürich too”.

The above photo is a sunflower field on the way during my working trip. Their blooming time is October to December in Thailand. I intended to go to this area again to only take some nice photos, but never have a chance to do. Have to wait until next year.:)

I noticed that nobody has submitted a silhouette yet, so let me be the first (hopefully). Obviously this isn’t me. It’s julie, a very good friend of mine. We had this shot at Potipot together with other shadow and silhouette shots (hopefully you guys aren’t tired of browsing my Potipot pictures). I had some, but I’m more confident of sharing this one.

I had this near-death experience on my last trip to Kauai! This lava-ledge is 20 feet above the sea, and I suppose the incoming wave is twice that height. This is not the Sprouting Horn near Poipu. No HDR.
