I contacted a local school that has courses in HVAC. I expected a course to last maybe two weeks or even as long as a month. It turns out the training is almost a year and a half long. I don’t know how many people have time to complete this training. Especially with bills to pay and a family to support. I don’t think it would be possible for me to work full time, still afford rent and on top of that be able to afford my HVAC training. I wish there was a better way that I could get certified. I thought about taking the online courses that they have, but I am more of a classroom learner. Plus, I actually want to practice on what we are learning about. I’m afraid I can’t do that at my apartments as I may break the air conditioner and then really be in trouble. I will keep looking to see if I can find something better.
