If you like modern architecture (like I do) with steel, concrete and glass you can find many nice places in Zurich besides the “kitschy” Old Town areas.
My contribution to the ZFD40 competition part “This is Zürich too”.
The Grand Hyatt in Shanghai, 77th floor. Made me dizzy everytime I’d go to my room…

The interior of the ultra modern Tokyo Internation Forum between Yurakucho and Tokyo stations. After looking around the old part of town (Yanaka) yesterday, I went for the modern side of Tokyo today.
This is a 5 frame HDR (merged with Photomatix) I took with my Nikkor 24-70 @ f/7.1. I took another similar one (see below) with my Tokina 11-16 f/2.8 and couldn’t decide which one I liked better so decided to post both.

winter garden in art nouveau built in 1900, Onze-Lieve-Vrouw-Waver (between Antwerp and Brussels, Belgium). Architect unknown (!). Very unusual : art nouveau in a catholic school.
