See How I Fly, Like Lucy in The Sky

See How I Fly, Like Lucy in The Sky, originally uploaded by toni! at the disco.

I was crazy enough to buy a crapload of cotton from the grocery, heh. Putting them in strings and taping those strings to the ceiling were more work than necessary, though :/ They kept falling after how many minutes. So, I don’t like my pose here, really (I was sitting down and bending slightly), but this is the only picture that came out wherein the “clouds” looked good :P Oh and those stars are cut outs. Stars are hard to do cut outs of.

Cloudy Tower for Scott Brown

Cloudy Tower for Scott Brown, originally uploaded by eecue.

When I arrived at this location, I got a call from an old friend, letting me know this is step father had just passed away after a hard fight with cancer. His father, Scott Brown, was a good friend of mine and I was looking forward to his presence at my wedding, which will now be in spiritual form as opposed to the physical form I was expecting.

After I finished shooting this series, I was approached by a Securitas guardsmen, who informed me that I wasn’t allowed to take photos of factoriers, refineries or railroad tracks. He then wrote down my license plate number and asked me for my drivers license which he wrote down the number for. I didn’t feel like arguing with him as he was just doing what he was told to do, but it was clearly a violation of my rights. The sky in LA was really beautiful so I wasn’t mad.

golden gate bridge fog, san francisco ,View On Black
a memory from the past

a bit surreal to say the least… to watch the city engulfed by fog only to see one of the
7th wonders in the world, the golden gate bridge protrude strikingly from the scene
as if to pronounce to the world its existence.

with the downturn in our stock market & economy, many have been affected one way or another,
even the international scene. i
just wanted help put a smile on your face, if even for a moment, then the image will
have served its purpose. cheers!

in remembrance of the beach

in remembrance of the beach, originally uploaded by mathias-erhart.

After some shipping problems (my photos got lost for 3 weeks and I almost didn’t expect to see them ever again) my holga photos of my holiday arrived today.
Now that I have them I think they came just right in time. It is rainy and foggy outside and it feels good to remember these sunny days at the beach.

Labrador @ dawn

Labrador @ dawn, originally uploaded by Erik’s Sanctuary.

Labrador Park’s high vantage point led the British to identify it as a defence site to protect the entrance to the harbours of Singapore in 1843. Now, it is an oasis of tranquillity and offers a picturesque view of the sea. Nature lovers will be pleasantly surprised to find a rich variety of wildlife, such as the White-crusted Laughing Thrush, the Yellow-vented Bulbul and the regal White-bellied Sea Eagle. Also catch a glimpse of the past as you explore the underground complexes used during World War II for the storage of ammunition and supplies.
